Plant a Fruit Tree in your Garden!!
As part of the 80th birthday celebrations, Oxford City Farm (which is working towards establishing a City Farm on the land behind the Isis Care Home on Cornwallis Rd) is supporting the creation of a Community Orchard in Florence Park.
The aim is to plant 80 fruit trees across the area – in people’s gardens, in the park and in other public spaces.
This will create a focus for community fruit growing and sharing into the future.
By being part of the Orchard you will have the opportunity to:

By being part of the Orchard you will have the opportunity to:
- Get help and advice on choosing and planting a tree – we are grafting some of our own trees which will be available for a small donation or we can suggest a local supplier
- learn and share skills – pruning, grafting, preserving
- get help with picking your fruit
- enjoy an annual Apple Day with fun fruit activities for all the family - date to be announced for this year’s event which will be part of the 80th birthday celebrations
- be part of a project to green our lovely area!
- share yours and others' excess fruit.
